We have had the opportunity of enjoying a cool, unforgettable night full of fun, good looking people, with the best house music of the planet, the best DJ to party, in one of the best nightclubs of the city, the VIP club OPIUM MAR BARCELONA. We are talking about a party with the distinct French DJ David Guetta, who kept us dancing all the night with his unique house grooves, including in the playlist releases from his first album “Just a Little More Love” up to songs from his lastest production “Nothing But The Beat”.  

The set was part of WEDJ'S, an event hosted by OPIUM MAR BARCELONA during the summer, in which a star DJ plays each wednesday of the week, to give us the best parties of the season. This year's line up included famous DJ's such as Bob Sinclair, Tiesto, Angello, Roger Sánchez, Eric Prydz, Kaskade, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, Brian Cross, among others. The CLOSING PARTY was performed by David Guetta this past 16 of September.

After our first experiences there for their infamous Sunday night “Soundays” and DJ Kaskade’s performance the week beforehand, my co-worker/best friend Akunna and I have become regulars at the classy, exclusive OpiumMar Club located on the Barcalonetta beachfront. We both know that this club guarantees a memorable night regardless of the day; so when we found out that internationally known DJ Tiesto would be performing in the kind of environment Opium has to offer, there was no doubt in our minds that we were in something mind-blowing.

When first entering Sutton Club, i was instantly reminded of The Bank club located inside the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Although it didn't start to fill up until after 2am, once it was filled, it was poppin. I felt like a celebrity when I walked up to the bouncer and told him I was on Lista Isaac.  He nodded, lifted the rope and allowed me through for free, no questions asked. I walked through the long, elegant hallway to the discoteca.  As soon as I opened the double doors, I understood instantly why this is one of the greatest clubs and parties in all of Barcelona. The green lights lining the bar and dance area gave the club a classy feel with a hint of mystery.  The VIP booths were dimly lit, making the rest of the crowd eager to see what celebrity might be occupying them.  

 Not only was I able to get into Sotavento free with no hassle by using Lista Isaac, I was also given a free drink ticket at the entrance!  Considering that most drinks in these top clubs are at least 10 euro, this was quite a good deal!  They offer every drink you can think of from vodka Limón, to mojitos, to cava!  Descending down the elegant spiraling staircase, I was unsure if I was about to enter a royal ballroom or a dance club.  As soon as I took my first step off the stairs I could feel the loud bass through the marble floor.  This is one of the best laid out clubs I have ever seen.  There were multiple VIP areas that lined the dance floor. The DJ booth is raised above the dance floor with two platforms for the stunning club dancers. The ceiling was covered with massive color changing lights that kept the mood sophisticated but also very playful.
